Microblading is a form of tattooing however unlike a regular tattoo, the pigment is implanted under the first layer of skin with a handheld tool instead of a machine and it is semi-permanent. Over time, the semi-permanent tattoo will fade and your brows will return to its original state. This process takes about 1 to 1.5 years.
I know what you're thinking now, is it painful, right? Pain is relative. Some people feel more pain than others. The process does feel like little scratches and you may even bleed a tiny bit however a numbing topical cream is applying to the brow area before the procedure begins.
To prepare for a microblading appointment, you will need to arrive with a clean face (no makeup), stop drinking alcohol, use of retinol and/or taking pain killers at least a week before your appointment. Be prepared to be at the your appointment for 2 hours as the first hour will be spent created the perfect brow shape for your face and the procedure will be performed during the last hour.
And Viola! You have beautiful brows however aftercare is essential to maintain those NEW beautiful brows. Aftercare packets will be provided at the time of appointment. Freshly done brows will be dark for about 5-7 days and will then lighten about 30-40%. It will take 4-5 weeks for brows to completely heal at which time you will come in for your touch-up appointment. Any corrections will be made at time of touch-up.
